Arizona

Arizona has a robust agricultural landscape of 19,000 farms operating on over 26.2 million acres, with over 22 million of those acres allocated towards permanent pasture and rangeland. With all of that open land to roam, this makes Arizona a leader when it comes to happy and healthy livestock and superior beef production. The near 1 million cattle raised here every year have ample room for natural grazing, as do the goats, sheep, and hogs also produced by the state. Arizona also produces over 4.8 million tons of hay, haylage, and alfalfa, a primary nutritional source for livestock in dry, arid regions.

When we support local, responsible, family-owned farms, we are also supporting local communities and seeding a future of food independence. This is a key component for our local economies and our populations to thrive.
