Kentucky

With its rolling hills and rich soil, Kentucky's agricultural landscape is outstanding. Kentucky is the 14th leading beef producer in the country and grazes over 2.02 million head of cattle on nearly 3 million acres of permanent pasture and rangeland, utilizing feedlots with only 18,000 of the cattle it produces. This gives Kentucky an ideal cow to land ratio, providing ample space for the animals to thrive. Regenerative livestock farming is a natural practice across most of the state, with modern farming practices only occurring primarily across the mono-cropping landscape.

A plethora of family owned farms remain in Kentucky, and due to the abundance of regenerative agriculture and responsible, sustainable farms, sourcing high quality nutrition from farm to table can be relatively simple. Let's keep it that way by supporting local, family owned farms, a move that will keep the local economy thriving and reduce dependency on produce from inflated markets and industrialized mega-corporations.
